Battery Charging
The dB Check uses a rechargeable internal battery system, which must be charged prior to initial use. To charge, use the supplied USB cable to connect the dB Check to any personal computer (or commercially available 5-volt DC USB charging module). A small red LED on the front panel will light to indicate the unit is charging, and will turn off when the dB Check is full charged.
The initial charging period will take about 2 hours. A full charge yields roughly 7-8 hours of operation. Battery status is shown on the LCD display.
USB Charging Cable
To extend the cable, always pull both ends at the same time. To retract, pull both ends out until it clicks, then release slowly. Never pull just one end of the cable, as it will become tangled in the center. To fix this problem, pull both ends all the way out and release, allowing the cable to smoothly wind itself onto the hub.
